Neighbors Embrace Tribe
TAMPA- FL – Tribe Seminole Heights is a safe and welcoming place that offers children an opportunity to learn some very interesting lessons in life and character building. Designed for families to interact and meet neighbors, Tribe Seminole Heights offers low cost activities for families.
Classes are just $5 at Tribe and last for one hour! The unprecedented low cost makes classes highly accessible and affordable to everyone! With more than 25 classes being offered each week, there is truly something for every child.
A group of very talented and nurturing individuals have come together to share their expertise with our children in a structured but flexible environment. Parents are welcome to review the classes by attending or reviewing the class description on the Tribe Website or Facebook page.
Children absolutely love the classes because they’re able to learn something new, fun, and very interesting. The classes have age suggestions in order to keep interest levels piqued, but the staff is flexible about the ages listed. Tribe classes are quite varied but include a heavy focus on art, music, yoga, and fun!
Art classes are always a natural choice for children. The “Draw the Zoo-Animal Art” class teaches children how to draw while they learn about animals found in zoos. Each week, students learn to draw a different animal.
Entry level music and cooking classes are excellent introductions to learning skills that can last a lifetime! “Beginner Guitar” (Mondays at 5pm) or “Beginner Ukulele” (Mondays at 6pm) plus “Baking Basics” (Tuesdays at 7pm) and “Pasta Making” (Thursdays at 6pm) are really fun filled classes!
Several fitness classes are offered specifically for children, but Tribe also provides family friendly classes suitable for moms and dads too. “Family Yoga” (Thursdays at 6pm) and “Family Fitness” (Tuesdays at 5pm) are two very popular classes that parents can participate with their child. Tribe offers a free weekly community yoga class for adults on Mondays at 6pm.
Tribe would like families to feel completely at ease when choosing classes for their children. There are no long term commitments or payments. All classes are available on a drop in, pay-as-you go basis. Tribe is working on developing monthly membership option in the future. Many families enjoy the flexibility of choosing different classes. It helps them find subjects that are absolutely perfect for their child. It is not uncommon to discover a child has a great fondness for a class that may not have been considered to be a fit until they try it out.
With the low cost of the classes, the flexibility, and the number of classes offered, Tribe Seminole Heights is quickly becoming a community treasure! Tribe is located on the third floor of the Seminole Heights United Methodist Church on the corner of Central at Hanna. Use the stairs and double doors on the Hanna side of the building.
